CG MotoCorp, the authorized distributors of Maruti Suzuki cars, has announced the launch of the all-new 2019 Maruti Suzuki Wagon R in Nepal. Maruti Suzuki Wagon R price in Nepal starts at Rs. 24,99,000 (VXi). Furthermore, the Maruti Suzuki Wagon R is available in 3 variants. The other 2 variants are:
Based on the new Heartect platform, the WagonR is now bigger in all dimensions and hence offers more space and better road presence as well. The major update, though, has been made under the hood, with the WagonR now coming with two engine options: the older 1.0-litre and a bigger 1.2-litre engine which powers bigger cars like the Swift, Dzire, Baleno and the Ignis. Inside the car too, you now get a touchscreen infotainment system, dual airbags, manual AC and steering-mounted controls for audio and calls.
The new Maruti Suzuki Wagon R employs a new design language and is now more stylish and a little more upmarket. Up front, the car comes with a new face, with new twin headlamps, a larger grille with a chrome slat at the centre, and an all-new bumper with a large central airdam with trapezoidal housing for foglamps on either side. The increased length of the car is quite apparent from its
profile, and the car comes with the company’s signature floating roof design element.
The new Wagon R’s comes with bold shoulder lines and sharper character lines along the wheel arches. The rear section of the car has also been heavily updated and now the car comes with a new set of larger vertically positioned taillamps, which are placed higher, besides the windshield. Maruti offers the new Wagon R in six color options - Superior White, Silky Silver, along with four new colours - Magma Grey, Pearl Nutmeg Brown, Pearl Autumn Orange, and Pearl Poolside Blue.
The new 2019 Maruti Suzuki Wagon R now comes with a more upmarket cabin with a nicer-looking dashboard that comes with two-tone black and beige treatment. The centre stage is taken by a touchscreen infotainment system, with a manual air-con system placed below it. On either side of the infotainment system, the cabin features vertically placed air vents with round vents on either
end of the dashboard, but the aircon system is just a manual unit and not an automatic one.
The new Maruti Suzuki Wagon R comes with two petrol engine options under the hood – a 1.0-litre three-cylinder motor and a bigger 1.2-litre four-cylinder K-Series engine as well. The 1.2-litre is the same motor that has been powering the likes of the Swift and Baleno, and it offers the same output of 82 bhp and develops 113 Nm of peak torque. The 1.0-litre unit makes 67 bhp and 90 Nm of peak torque. Both engines are paired to a 5-speed gearbox, along with an optional 5-speed AMT or AGS unit as well.
The car offers an increased mileage of 22.5 kmpl in the 1.0-litre version and 21.5 kmpl in the 1.2-litre version, in both manual and AMT options.
