Chief Justice consults with seniors on case management

Chief Justice Gopal Parajuli received suggestions from senior advocates on several affairs including case management today. 
On the occasion, CJ Parajuli sought suggestions from senior officials of the apex court on the matters related to case date management, working on additional hours and operating bench from 9.30 am to dispense justice to victims. 
Senior advocates had recommended the Chief Justice to convene bench from 10.30 am as bringing into operation the bench from 9.30 am is not scientific. 
After the discussion, senior advocate Borna Bahadur Karki said that it would not be scientific to run the bench from 9.30 and proper time to start with is 10.30 am. 
On the occasion, senior officials suggested the CJ to give focus on old cases to promptly settle the cases and adjudicate the cases in a timely manner as justice delayed will have no meaning in some cases. 
Over 60 senior legal practitioners including senior justices Deepak Raj Joshi, Om Prakash Mishra, Cholendra Shumsher Rana and Deep Kumar Karki; senior advocate Krishna Prasad Bhandari, Sarbagya Ratna Tuladhar, Laxmi Bahadur Nirala, Mahadev Prasad Yadav, Biswo Kanta Mainali, Yagya Murti Banjade, Harihar Dahal, Shambhu Thapa, Badri Bahadur Karki and Ram Prasad Sawere were present on the occasion.

Gharti and Subedi elected parliamentary committee presidents

Jaypuri Gharti has been unanimously elected the president of Education and Health Committee under the House of Representatives ( HoR).A meeting of the committee today endorsed the proposal about Gharti's candidacy. Yogesh Kumar Bhattarai proposed her candidacy and Anjana Bishankhe backed it. Committee senior most member Man Bahadur Bishwakarma chaired the meeting.
