The Rastriya Janamorcha Nepal, a member of the present leftist alliance, has emphasized on the need to reach the source of state power to the local level for political stability in the country.
The federal system should be replaced with a decentralized governance system, says the manifesto released by the party here Monday in view of the upcoming elections. It also emphasizes on unity of progressive forces for nationality, republic, secular and prosperous Nepal.
Stating that water resources, agriculture and tourism development could open the door to Nepal's prosperity, the party has concluded that industrialization was of decisive importance for the development of the country. Scientific land reforms, commercialization of agriculture, right price for agro products, access to market and insurance of crop and cattle are other issues raised by the party in the manifesto.
The party has also appealed to voters for their votes in order to safeguard republic, nationality, secularism and people's fundamental rights, and to prevent casteism, regionalism, communalism and national disintegration.
Janamorcha's Durga Poudel is contesting in Pyuthan as a joint candidate of the leftist alliance while another candidate is representing the party in Baglung as well.
The CPN (Maoist Centre) chair and former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that the left alliance was for political stability and to form a single communist centre.
