Three heavyweight candidates fail to vote for themselves

Three heavyweight election candidates, who are running from Jhapa constituencies, failed to vote for themselves, as they are registered in the voters name list outside the district. 
CPN (UML) Chairman KP Sharma Oli, who is in the race for a parliament member from Jhapa constituency 5, is registered to vote from Bhaktapur-2. 
Likewise, Nepali Congress leader Krishna Prasad Sitaula, who is fighting for a parliament member from Jhapa constituency 3, is listed in the voters name list from Bhadrapur Municipality-10 in Chitwan. 
CPN (Maoist Center) leader Surendra Kumar Karki, who is competing for a parliament member from the left alliance from Jhapa constituency 1, is registered to vote from Kathmandu-1.

Vote counting in almost final stage: EC

Vote counting in the House of Representatives and State Assemblies elections has reached its almost final stage, said the Election Commission. According to EC's latest update, 164 parliamentary and 329 provincial representatives have been elected so far in the polls held for the total 165 parliamentary and 330 provincial members.
