UML leader Nemwang and Khanal cast their votes in Ilam

CPN- UML senior leader Subash Chandra Nemwang and Jhala Nath Khanal cast their votes in Ilam. Nemwang, who is also ex-speaker of Parliamentary Assembly cast his vote in Balwinder polling center in district headquarter Ilam. Nemwang is contesting from Ilam-2.

Similarly, another senior leader of Khanal, who is also ex-Prime Minister cast his vote in Rashtriya Aadharbhut school of Suryodaya municipality-9. He is contesting from Ilam -1.

There is good management of security for the voters and officials, informed chief Election Officer Krishna Prasad Subedi. He requested the voters to exercise their voting rights in free and fearless manner.

There are total 20,446 eligible voters in the district. In the constituency, one there are 101,161 voters and in constituency two there are 102,985 voters.

Distribution of final tranche of grant to quake survivors begins

The National Reconstruction Authority (NRA) has started providing the third (final) tranche of grant money to the survivors of 2015 earthquake. So far only 16 households have received the final installment of the grant, said the NRA district project implementation unit. A total of 1,580 quake survivors have got the second tranche in the district.
