KMC forms 1138-member management body for chariot procession

 The Kathmandu Metropolitan City has formed a 1,138-member committee for conducting the traditional chariot procession of the Seto Machchhindranath deity. 
The time-honored tradition of towing the chariot carrying the idol of the deity commences from March 25 this year as per the lunar calendar. 
Guruji (chief priest) Neel Kaji Shakya will coordinate the committee comprising of representatives of local stakeholder organizations and bodies as the Guthi Sansthan, Nepal Electricity Authority, Nepal Scouts, Nepal Red Cross Society etc. The Chief of the Kathmandu District Administration Office is also the member on the committee.
The KMC mayor and deputy mayors are the patrons of the committee.

100-year-old copper mine being reopened; other mines being examined

Almost a 100-year-old copper mine in Gorkha district is about to be reopened. There are many mines undergoing studies for reopening in Nepal as well, which is very good for the future of Nepal's infrastructure and many other things.  The mine, which is being prepared for reopening, is located in the jungles of Khanigaun of Palungtar Municipality-8.
