A bomb disposal team of Nepal Army today deactivated an improvised explosive device planted in a parked vehicle belonging to Mayor of Damak Municipality Rom Nath Oli.
Upon finding a suspicious material wrapped in a carton on the roof of his Scorpio vehicle on Wednesday evening when he was about to leave office for home, he informed the police. Right after the finding, security personnel guarding the house of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli in Damak-6 took the suspicious material to a safer place which the bomb disposal squad found to be an IED and neutralized later today morning.
Rom Nath is staying in the house of PM Oli in Damak-6. Earlier, an IED was detonated in the same house of PM Oli. Likewise, a month ago, an IED was set off in the house of ward chairperson of Damak-7 Bhim Poudel.
More than 1,000 women were benefitted from one-day free reproductive health camp organised by Tulasipur Sub-Metropolitan City-16 at Laxmipur village on Sunday. Tulasipur Sub-Metropolitan City-16 organised the free health camp with coordination of different organisations including local women network. A local Sita Chaudhary, 86, expressed happiness for getting opportunity to put her problems openly in the camp.
