Chief Minister of Gandaki Province Prithvi Subba Gurung has said that tourism was the vital basis for the prosperity of the province.
At a programme of Trekking Agencies' Association of Nepal in Pokhara on Saturday, he said the province has the immense potentials for tourism since it links Korala of the north to Tribeni in the south. Likewise, Gurung made commitment on behalf of the province government for development of trekking tourism.
Other speakers at the event sought seriousness on the part of government to resolve the problems facing trekking sector.
Likewise, Chief Minister Gurung unveiled a souvenir of the TAAN western regional association.
Nepal Press Union, Doti has drawn the attention of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli to find the whereabouts of journalist Tej Bahadur Khadka, who disappeared one month ago. The NPU has sent a memorandum to the PM through acting Chief District Officer Lokraj Bohara asking the PM to initiate in the search for journalist Khadka.
