An intimidating villain in various Nepali movies has sought our praise for protagonist bravery. The credit specifically goes to bad guy in movie. Sunil Thapa is notably an endangered antagonist in most of the Nepali movies.

Personal details

He was born on 19th May, 1957 in Kathmandu Nepal. He is happily married to Rajani Thapa with one son Anmol Thapa and one daughter Precious Thapa. He is mostly called as either Sher Singh or Ratey kaila.

Professional Career

In 1974, Sunil Thapa started doing modeling with Binny’s and Mafatal Fabrics in Mumbai, India.

He inaugurated his movie career with hindi movie Ek Duje Ke Liya along with Kamal Hassan followed by Manav Hatya, Mashal,Albela, Thuldai, Aago and many more.

Beside acting and modeling, he was renowned as professional football player for ICL Club Bombay and Orkay’s Sorts Club. He has also works as photo Journalist for Junior Statesman and covered Bhutan Coronation in 1974.

He starred along with Priyanka Chopra in the Biopic of woman boxer Mary Kom, which earned him a nomination for best supporting male actor in Film fare Award in 2013. He portrayed a role of trainer motivating a female lead inside the ring.
