Spokesperson of the CPN led by Netra Bikram Chand, Khadga Bahadur Biswakarma has been produced to the District Court in Dang on Sunday where he was granted an 8-day judicial remand.
Bishwakarma was brought to Dang on Friday evening. According to record keeper at the District Court, Dang Gambhir Rana, the Court remanded Bishwakarma from September 5-12 and by now, only three days are left for him to remand in custody.
Briefly talking to journalists at the Court's premises, Bishwakarma commented that the government, being politically biased, was lodging false accusation on him.
He was kept in custody at the District Police office in Dang following the extension of remand. Biswakarma has been accused of his involvement in the case related to bomb explosion at Tulsipur in Dang district in November.
A bomb targeted at Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba was exploded on November 28 during the federal elections.
The temporary police Binod Chaudhary, 23, had died in the incident as the bomb had gone off some 500 meters of the election assembly venue.
The shutdown called by Biplav-led Communist Party of Nepal has no impact in the Kathmandu valley. Spokesperson at the Metropolitan Police Office Ranipokhari, Shyam Lal Gyawali, said vehicular movement in Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur districts is normal. The Metropolitan Police Office Ranipokhari looks after the security, and law and order in the Kathmandu valley.
