Foundation stone laid for Madrasa school building

Mayor at the Hetauda Sub-Metropolis Hari Bahadur Mahat laid the foundation stone for the construction of a three-storied Madrasa school building at Lokpath, Ward No-1 in the metropolis on Sunday.
The building is going to be constructed at a total cost of Rs 15 million, said the Shekh Jagir, treasurer at the building construction committee. The amount was voluntarily collected by the Muslim communities. It is stated that about 150 Muslim students will be taught at the building.
On the occasion, Mayor Mahat assured all kinds of support for the construction of the building and run the school there.
The government has also expressed its commitment to mainstreaming Madrasas across the country. (RSS)

No impact of shutdown in Kathmandu valley: Police

The shutdown called by Biplav-led Communist Party of Nepal has no impact in the Kathmandu valley. Spokesperson at the Metropolitan Police Office Ranipokhari, Shyam Lal Gyawali, said vehicular movement in Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur districts is normal. The Metropolitan Police Office Ranipokhari looks after the security, and law and order in the Kathmandu valley.
