The Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration is providing free of cost mobile app to the local levels in association with the Department of Information Technology.
The Department developed the mobile app to be used for disseminating all the information and messages of the local level to the people in a prompt and speedy manner.
It is hoped that the app would be useful for providing information to the people regarding the various facilities and services that they can get from the local level as well as for properly managing the public complaints and grievances.
The Department had developed the app at the request of the Dhulikhel Municipality. The Ministry urged other local levels to also use the app saying that it was found effective in information dissemination.
Brief introduction and data, and GIS of the local level, contact details of the people's representatives including their photos, details of all the wards of the local level including the map and other contact details, acts and guidelines, emergency number and details of plans and projects can be downloaded from the app.
Nursing Association of Nepal is planning to unveil a mobile apps ‘ICT Toolkit’ to collect data and provide nursing services during the time of disasters.
