Inter-ministry coordination essential for development

 Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that inter-ministry coordination was essential for the country's development and prosperity. 
Speaking at the 43rd meeting of the National Development Problem Resolution Committee held at the National Planning Commission meeting hall in Singha Durbar this evening, he said energy development and infrastructure expansion needs to be expedited through coordination among the ministries. 
Directing the authorities concerned to take action against those indulging in negligence in projects and not completing infrastructure works on time, Prime Minister Oli, who also chairs the Committee, said, "All should be alert towards completing projects on time by using maximum technology." 
Stating that the Ministries and departments need to work responsibly towards increasing capital expenditure, Prime Minister Oli said the trend of a project of national priority remaining incomplete for up to 30 years needs to end now. 
At the meeting, a presentation was made on behalf of the National Planning Commission covering the problems seen in development construction work, ways of solution and time-table to complete projects on time. The progress of the ministries' work was also reviewed on the occasion. 
NPC Vice-chair Dr Pushpa Raj Kandel said the ways to end the trend of spending of resources without completion of the work was discussed from various angles.
