The post of senior-most judge at the Supreme Court has turned vacant from today with senior-most judge Deepak Raj Joshi tendering his resignation before President Bidya Devi Bhandari today.
Earlier today, he sent his resignation to the Head-of-the-State through Chief Justice Cholendra Shumser JB Rana.
Earlier, CJ Rana with his appointment to the post declared to relieve Joshi from the daily assignment and he was on leave since then. He had his remaining tenure for the next three months. (RSS)

The government led by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has recently completed first year of its five-year term. In his address to the nation on last February 14, Prime Minister said the government took the period as a year to develop foundation for structural management of the state and prosperity of the country.
