Two Indian Climbers die at Mt Malaku and Mt Everest

Two Indian climbers have been found dead while in descent from Mt. Everest and Mt. Malaku last night.  The dead have been identified as Narayan Singh and Ravi Thakar. Narayan was a member of the Indian Army who was in a Mt. Malaku expedition. He died at a height of 8,200 meters while in descent from Mt. Malaku.

Civil society activists, journalists seek immediate withdrawal of three bills

Civil society activists have urged the government to immediately take away the three bills registered in the Federal Parliament. They have expressed concerns over the Bill to amend the 'National Human Rights Act- 2068 BS'; the 'Media Council Bill- 2075 BS' and the Bill relating to 'Social Organisations Act- 2075 BS' and sought their instant withdrawal.

Sri Lanka suicide bombing attack: Report

Seven suicide bombers took part in the devastating attacks on churches and luxury hotels in Sri Lanka that killed 290 people and wounded more than 500, a senior investigator said on Monday. Two of the suicide bombers blew themselves up at the luxury Shangri-La Hotel on Colombo’s seafront, said Ariyananda Welianga, a senior official at the government’s forensic division.

Ethiopian flight ET302 crashes after takeoff from Bole International Airport

157 passengers abroad an Ethiopian Airlines flight that crashed soon after taking off from Addis Ababa have been killed. The plane was en route to Nairobi, Kenya, and lost contact at 8:44 am local time, 6 minutes after taking off from the Bole International Airport in the Ethiopian capital.  Flight ET302 went down near Bishoftu, southeast of Addis Ababa.

20-year-old woman dies in fire, woman's mother injured

A woman in Chhathar Municipality in Tehrathum has died today in a fire accident. The woman's mother also got injured in the accident and the deceased has been identified as a local.  The woman was identified as Dhana Maya Karki, who was 20 years old. Dhana Maya died in the fire as she had no way of getting out.

Sarlahi resident found dead in Malangwa

In Sarlahi last night, a person was shot dead by a group of people. The group has not been caught and are unidentified at the time. Israeli family's son dies in Australia

Nepali arrested in Delhi for human trafficking

A Nepalese citizen was arrested in New Delhi yesterday. The apprehended was arrested for his involvement in trafficking Nepali girls from Nepal to other countries. Man attacks two women with khukuri, kills self

Khadananda Poudel, a 40-year-old male from Arjundhara, Jhapa, attacked 2 women with a khukuri and committed suicide with the same weapon.
